Harvest Designs has been creating distinctive one of a kind furniture from our workshop in Smithers, BC since 2001.
We are proud to produce custom handcrafted furniture incorporating reclaimed and pine beetle wood from Northwest British Columbia. Our mission is to build functional furniture utilizing the character of the aged and stained wood to enhance the overall appeal of the furniture.
Most designs are inspired by antique “Canadiana” furniture, and often incorporate methods to address current needs for storage of appliances, new technologies and the convenience of modern hardware such as sliding pocket door hinges and smooth drawer slides.
Each unique piece features signs of a past life with the rich patina, varying color patterns, saw blade and nail marks all enhancing the authentic antique and rustic feel we strive for.
Designs include but are not limited to: Harvest tables, coffee and end tables, storage chests, dish dressers, side boards, benches, corner cabinets, entertainment centres, and bedroom furniture. Most furniture is finished with a light stain and varnish to further enhance the natural beauty of the wood.

The type and size of wood used to build century old buildings will never be found again and I am constantly reminded of how much of a privilege it is to be able to work with this wood. Furthermore the thought of putting the majestic old structures to another use before they are reclaimed by the land is always satisfying.”
